To Whom This May Concern:I would first like to say that this is the first time I am reading a product of Ellie Row.The couple in this book Oliver Walsh, James McKinnon, and Ashley Huggins. Oliver and James form a relationship with Ashley through unforeseen circumstances. The development of the relationship was lackluster. The character’s internal conflicts was the same in all the characters.In this book, the plot revolves around Oliver and James competing to become the chief of cardio surgery. Ashley is a scrub nurse that assists in surgery that got involved with them. This is a sad rendition of Grey’s Anatomy, but in literature form. It was lackluster. The book is written in three point of views: Ashley, Oliver, and James. Also, there is 40 chapters which could’ve been cut down because reading the same thing in each point of view was annoying.The “romance” scene was steamy, but short. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. There is MFM, MMF, MF, and MM scenes. The scenes are just not long enough, little foreplay and not enough dialogue.The ending of the book tied the book together and the character’s conflicts were address.With that being said, I give the book a 2 out of 5.With thanks.Disclaimer: I did get this book for free through Booksprout. However, I did not get paid for a skewed review. This is an honest review with no intentions to sway readers to persuade sales. It was a good read with a storyline that kept me entertained.Oliver and James were not my favourite characters. They were selfish, self-absorbed and acted like overgrown children despite the positions of power they held. Ashley is a scrub nurse that works with both of them and is totally fed up with their shenanigans and comes up with a plan to get them to relieve some tension. This entails a pretty hot session with each of them but when they each find out about the other things almost blow up for all of them but she has an alternate plan that involves even more steam between all three of them but when the hospital comes to know about their relationship I hated the fact that James and Oliver found it so easy to throw Ashley under the bus and felt that she was a little too willing to take the responsibility of everything onto her shoulders for the entire thing because as they say it takes two (or in this case three) to tango. But I also understand the desire to protect those you care about. Let me just say that I think they were incredibly lucky that she forgave them. Despite the failings of the two men I did enjoy the story and the chemistry between these three was scorching.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
